Alyssa Walter

Alyssa’s journey to the barbell began in 2019 when she first stepped into the CrossFit gym. Alyssa was searching for a new sport to pursue and as it turns out, weightlifting was the perfect fit.

With a wealth of experience as a high-level athlete, Alyssa's journey began as a competitive dancer spanning over two decades, which included prestigious performances such as the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Australia. Beyond dance, she has actively engaged in dog sports, excelling in obedience, agility, and canine nose work with her two staffys aka the loves of her life.

Passionate about empowering women to embark on their strength training journey, Alyssa empathises with the challenges of balancing life and sport. As a speech pathologist by background, and now working as a project officer, she is dedicated to supporting others to pursue their athletic and life goals.

Alyssa’s passion for weightlifting has led to her pursuing her AWF Level 1 coaching certification, as well as actively volunteering as a referee.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her beloved dogs, rocking out at concerts, and indulging her passion for gardening.
